Analysis of Feid’s social media:
As shown above, we can see Feid`s Instagram page. One of the main uses of it is to keep in contact with his audience and therefore interact with them. By doing this, Feid is successfully achieving loyalty among them. This will then lead to higher views and numbers in his next songs.
He also uses his social media to create what is known as “hype”. The more promotion and “sneak peaks” such as previews he posts in his social media, the more the audience is going to expect his songs. This occurred with the song “SI tu supieras” where he created hype for about 2 months and said to the audience that he was not going to release it. This created the audience to ask for it even more and finally being released by surprise in his most recent album, being one of his most popular songs and most streamed songs in South America.
Another clear example of effective use of social media is when he released his song “Friki” featuring Karol G as shown below.
Before the release of the song, he posted pictures with the international Colombian singer which caused rumors to increase and therefore hype to be created.
Overall, social media are very important when it comes to promoting a project. Moreover, social media can improve a singers status by gaining more likes and followers, spreading awareness of their talent.
